Angry Birds is a physics-puzzle game where you fling birds from a slingshot at fortresses full of pigs. You launch a team of birds one at a time at structures built by the green pigs who stole your eggs, with the goal of toppling the buildings and crushing every pig inside.

What is Angry Birds?

Each level in Angry Birds is a self-contained physics puzzle: a structure of wood, ice, and stone, with pigs tucked into its nooks. You have a limited number of birds, and each type behaves differently. Figuring out which bird to aim where, and at what angle, to bring the whole structure down on the pigs is the entire game.

It rewards experimentation. Often the elegant solution is to hit one weak point and let gravity and collapsing debris do the rest, which earns you more stars for using fewer birds.

How to Play Angry Birds

Pull back the slingshot to aim and set your power, then release to launch the bird. The trajectory dots help you adjust your next shot. Some birds have a special ability you trigger mid-flight with a tap — splitting into three, dashing forward, or dropping a bomb. Clear every pig on the level to win, and use as few birds as possible for a higher star rating.

Angry Birds Tips

Aim for structural weak points

Knocking out a key support beam can collapse a whole tower onto pigs you could never reach directly.

Match the bird to the material

Some birds tear through wood but bounce off stone. Read the structure and pick your target accordingly.

Trigger abilities at the right moment

A split bird is wasted if you tap too early. Trigger it when the three paths will each hit something useful.

Save specialty birds for tough pigs

Heavily fortified pigs usually need a specific bird's ability to crack them. Do not spend that bird on an easy outer target.

Be efficient for three stars

Stars are based on how few birds you use, so an elegant one-shot solution beats brute force.

Watch your trajectory dots

Each shot leaves a dotted trail. Use it to fine-tune your next launch instead of guessing the angle again.

FAQ About Angry Birds

Is Angry Birds free?

Yes, free to play in the browser.

Can I play it on mobile?

Yes — the slingshot drag works just as well on a touch screen as with a mouse.

What do the different birds do?

The core set: Red has no special power, the Blues split into three, Chuck dashes forward at speed, and Bomb explodes on tap. Each suits different structures.

What are the stars based on?

Mainly how few birds you used and the score you racked up. Using fewer birds earns a higher rating.

Is this the original Angry Birds?

Yes — the classic slingshot gameplay with the original bird types and pig fortresses.
